Top 5 PC Games every gamer must try

Remember, this is a list from the guys at Technotification and recommended by us, which doesn’t mean the games you like or prefer are any less likely to be played(Criticism and Suggestions are welcome). Let’s dive into the list and in no particular order here are the 5 PC games you must play before you respawn.1

Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag

OK, I’ve come too far in the future with this title! If you’re an Assassin’s Creed franchise fan then I’m 100% sure you have played this gorgeous game multiple times. Released on October 29, 2013, the game is the 6th installment in Assassin’s Creed franchise. Unlike previous games, this one focussed on pirates, oceans and ship-based open world exploration and of course combat. With Edward Kenway as a lead character in the game, the game dives into the extraordinarily beautiful sceneries with a great storyline to tell for ages. British Navy and Pirate Ships combat was probably the most intense feature of this game. The game received an overwhelming response and also became one of the Bestselling Game of 2013(Couldn’t agree more).

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas

Turning the clock back to 2004, what a great year to be alive. Rockstar released this masterpiece in October 26th of 2004 for PlayStation 2 platform initially and to the rest by October 2005. This game is significant in the gaming industry, that it’s considered to be one of the greatest game ever to be made. It was the game the world didn’t need but deserved. I mean all titles that followed with Open world maps, soundtracks, radio stations and all other stuff were nothing compared to what the Groove Street had to offer back in 2004. The single-player story follows Carl “CJ” Johnson, who returns home to Los Santos from Liberty City after his mother’s murder. Carl finds his old friends and family in disarray, and over the course of the game he attempts to re-establish his old gang, clashes with corrupt cops, and gradually unravels the truth behind his mother’s murder. The plot is based on multiple real-life events in Los Angeles, including the rivalry between the Bloods, Crips, and Hispanic street gangs, the 1980s crack epidemic, the LAPD Rampart scandal, and the 1992 Los Angeles riots. Of course you can read more about it on Wikipedia. The game also brought in modding along with it. From cars to people to stunt ramps and what not. The game became an instant hit and everyone loved it and still play it.

Counter-Strike 1.6

FPS, great maps, low hardware requirement and lots of memories playing in the hostel are the very elements as to why people still play this game. Released back when most of you readers were still sipping on your bottle of milk (November 9, 2000, to be exact) the game was an instant hit. Originally released as a Mod for Half-life, the game took over the world by storm. The game lacked maps and content but had the core FPS value and CT vs T sorted out during beta. The community dived in and created many more maps and game was suddenly one of the most played games concurrently. I really don’t have to speak much about the game because you all have played it at least once in your life. And if you haven’t, what the hell are you even doing!!

Need For Speed: Underground 2

Switching the genre to Racing, we have NFS Underground 2. The holy grail of a game that pulled even actual racers to Playstations. The game introduced many new features, such as a broader customization, new methods of selecting races, the “explore” mode. The City Center was based on Philadelphia, Beacon Hill was based on Beverly Hills and Coal Harbor was based on Camden, New Jersey. Completing the map Bayview as a whole is a microcosm of the west coast of the United States. With tons of races and customization and Riders on the storm in your ear, your weekend was complete.

Crysis

Psycho, Alcatraz, Nomad, Prophet if these names don’t ring a bell, then mate you have missed out on a great FPS game of all time. Yes, we’re speaking of Crysis. Although we could have gone with Crysis 2 or Crysis 3, we chose the first one since it set a baseline for all the games to come with futuristic weapon combat. Released in November of 2007, the game earned a Metacentric score of 91 for PC platform, GameSpot awarded it with 9.5 out of 10 describing it as “Easily one of the greatest shooters ever made”. The series revolves around a group of military protagonists with “nano suit”, technologically advanced suits of armor that allow them to gain enhanced physical strength, speed, defense, and cloaking abilities. To add to it, the game had graphics that were way too ahead of its time. The protagonists face off against hostile North Korean soldiers, heavily armed mercenaries, and a race of technologically advanced aliens known as the Ceph, who arrived on Earth millions of years ago for unclear reasons and have recently been awakened. It’s a quite old game, but nevertheless, one hell of a story and gameplay which pushes this game to our Top 5 must play games.
